How is the Constant Force Spring mounted?

• Slide bearings (drums) or ball bearings can be used for mounting
• At least 1½ windings must remain on the drum when the spring is fully expanded
• It is not necessary to attach the spring to the drum
• The sufficient wrap angle prevents slipping
• The ideal drum diameter is 15-20% larger than the relaxed inner diameter of the constant force spring
