Which installation instructions must be observed for Torsion Springs?
- Our torsion springs are used to absorb and release forces
- The specified torques are intended for standard applications and static loads
- A very good service life for dynamic loads is achieved if the torque is reduced by approx. 40%
- Torsion springs are normally guided over a mandrel
- The specified mandrel diameter M/S gives 10% clearance between the spring and the axle
- For larger stresses, the mandrel diameter must be reduced
- Axial play should also be taken into account during installation in order to ensure proper function
- Use the spring in the direction of the winding
- If the spring is used in the opposite direction to the winding direction, it is bent over the stretched fibre and the service life is considerably shortened
